The Challenge
HBO wanted to add another layer of depth to their APA Visionaries program, by ensuring that winning filmmakers are provided a pathway to opportunity in their industry.
The Solution
They brought on GreatCo to develop, expand, and execute this vision with them. Leveraging GreatCo’s history with the APA creative community and relationships with the broader entertainment community, HBO was able to bring their resources, their relationships in Film/TV/Digital, and their brand to build the bridge between the marginalized and the mainstream. With the initiative of growing HBO APAV from strictly a competition to a burgeoning movement, GreatCo has plans to engage with the filmmaking community year-round, develop opportunities for aspiring AAPI filmmakers to work with established industry professionals, and construct an infrastructure for future Visionaries to grow.
